Born in the summer of 1972 in Erie, Pennsylvania, I was (and still am) lucky enough to have two loving parents and a wonderful older brother (three years and one day my senior). By 1982, my dad's job moved us to the Midwest (Noblesville, Indiana) where I attended Noblesville High School (class of 1990). I then moved on to attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (1995). While at chool, I worked as a cooperative education student at Lexmark International, Inc. (Lexington, Kentucky) every other semester. I also met my beautiful wife at Purdue (BSEE 1994 Purdue). When I graduated, we hunted around for jobs, taking a 4-month stint in Toledo, Ohio at Great Lakes Window. After realizing I hated Toledo, we headed back to Indiana where my wife and I found jobs at Thomson (makers of RCA and GE brand products in the US, and many other brands world-wide). After being with Thomson for over 6 years, I began working for Roche Diagnostics Corporation, developing blood glucose meters for the Diabetes Care unit in March of 2003.
I have recently acquired my Professional Engineer's License for the State of Indiana.
I am now a proud father! Maeg (pronounced like Mae or May with a "g" on the end, not to be confused with "Meg") was born 27 September 2003. Our family is doing fine, and we couldn't be happier.
We have a dog, Harley-Quinn, who we picked up from the Hamilton County Humane Society. She is part Australian Shepherd and part Border Collie, as far as we can tell.
